Our amazing 4th graders have begun the task of creating a beautiful mural to be enjoyed by all! Last year, students learned about the aspects of mural creation and its elements.  Work on the mural was started by sketching in a grid format.  Each student was given a 20″ x 24″ grid to complete a sketch to proportion from a master drawing. Students were asked to give input regarding  the native and endemic flora and fauna depicted in the Channel Islands mural.  As you can see, these talented artists are beginning by blocking in the background and foreground of the mural before moving on to the birds, sea creatures and plants that will be added during the next sessions.  We want to thank Mrs. Abrams and Ms. Svedlund for their dedication to excellence.
